Charmaine Hamp is currently working and living in Los Angeles. She is building relationships with casting directors in Los Angeles. She booked 14 parts last year alone, including a US National and a play
called, 'Laundry and Bourbon,' at the The Underground Theater.
Mike Horton. (Casting Director) Charmaine brought a lot of life experience and personalization to the role and it showed. She had a depth that a lot of actresses didn't hit. Great work.
Cody S. (Casting Director) she has a great look. She had a lot of fun with the camera and came up with some great improv.
Sheila Shostac. (Casting Director) Good read.
Kari Kurto. (Casting Director) Nice read, could have seen a bit more intimacy in a few moment, but I loved your last moment! Kari
Kara Sullivan. (Casting Director) Understood role and character. Had a good range of emotions in the read. Took direction well.
Nicole Dionne. (Casting Director) Great look. Cute takes. Call back for sure!
She has a positive attitude and she knows how to
create a picture to please the moving pictures. She
understands the camera likes mystery and she knows how to exude a presence
by living in the space and focusing her energy without acting.
Directors have noted her strength and ability to build and stay truthful
to characters. They have commented on her ability to take direction. She doesn't memorize a scene, she plays actions to be in the scene, rather than
watching it from outside herself. Editors are always impressed with her ability to produce the same movements and actions over and over to make
cutting seamless. She understands the world of film and puts herself on camera, in class, or she is learning an accent or
working on a monologue, etc. etc. Thus furthering the inevitable goal.
Please bring her in for an audition so she can make your day brighter and book the part!!
